England Embrace World Cup anthem..
so after all the speculation .. the Kaiser Chiefs were hotly tipped, John Barnes being tempted out of retirement, and even the Arctic Monkeys touted as possible contenders (although with their notorious attitude towards the press and similar this would've surprised me no end..) .. Embrace have been signed up to pen England's World Cup song.
so what to expect .. should be pretty solid, standard fare , Embrace have a few nice records in their back catalogue but a 'World in Motion' or a 'Vindaloo' it won't be ! Besides .. surely they could just remix 'Three Lions', thirty years of hurt can easily be stretched into forty..! where is Ian Broudie these days anyway, surely he spare the time ? ..and if John Barnes can..
